Mayer/Urban at the Gorge
My first time at the Gorge was sitting at the top of the hill where a friend said we would have the best quality sound. The sound was inconsistent, going in and out frequently, yet it was crisp during the loud moments with no echo or reverb typical of stadiums or domes. The wind became aggressive in the middle, and despite a few passed out drunks needing medical attention and a drunk guy who seemed lost, the show was entertaining. It wasn't what I expected for a summer night in Eastern Washington; I should have heeded my friend's warning about the cold nights there.
